just a quick update

Whoa.....I have not updated my blog in awhile. Partly because I don't have much to say and partly because I spend my days on Facebook! If it weren't for the fact I need a way to keep up with all the blogs I visit, I might not have a blog at all.


On another note, I have been in my "new" house for almost a year and have not completed half the projects that need to be completed! So, today, I am texturing the walls in my master bath so I can paint them. Yeah me! I hate home improvement projects!

Gotta put my work clothes on!

Is it weird.....

..that I like to look at the free stuff on Craigslist? I have an obsession with searching for treasures since I bought my dinning room furniture on Craigslist. So, on the days I am not looking for a specific item, I search for items sold in my town and all items that are free. How weird is that?

Lazy List

I am being lazy today. Well sorta, I work all week and make big plans of all the things I will accomplish on the weekend. By the time the weekend comes, I am too tired to do anything!

Things I want to accomplish:

1. Buy groceries - Done
2. Go to Sam's - Done
3. Wash my car
4. Pull down the wallpaper in the bathroom -Started
5. Texture bathroom walls
6. Get laundry done
7. Bake a cake I saw on someones blog
8. Swim
9. Cookout -Done
10. Clean house

All I can say is...don't hold your breath!

Swine Flu

I am so tired of hearing about the swine flu. Our schools have shut down for a week because someone in the district "may" have swine flu. It is so crazy. It does not help to shut down schools. I believe it will cause a domino effect. No schools mean parents stay home. Parents staying home means no workers. No workers mean loss of money to replace workers with temps.. Loss of money means more recession.

Get a grip people! People get sick! It's the stinking flu already!

What is up with the weather?

The weather in Texas is so whacked! Yes, I said whacked. This past weekend we sat outside and the kids actually got in the pool! Today the temps were in the 30's. What's up with that? Spring break is coming up so lets hope the weather gets better!

I am still looking for good recipes. If you know any place to find some let me know! My family gets tired of eating the same ole things over and over. They have gotta be easy though.
